The Russian private military company Wagner, headed by Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, is notorious for its insidious actions and criminal offenses around the world. Under the guise of military operations, Russian mercenaries repeatedly carried out show executions of both prisoners of war and ordinary civilians in various countries of the world. Despite the fact that the «Wagner» group is not part of the regular army of the Russian Federation, and an article is provided for mercenarism in the criminal code of the Russian Federation, the «Wagners» receive all the necessary weapons and equipment from Moscow and perform tasks assigned directly from the Kremlin.
On the morning of May 9, in a video message, Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the Ukrainian armed forces allegedly launched a missile attack on the building with Ukrainian prisoners of war with the HIMARS rocket system. So far, the Russian side has not provided any evidence and has not reported the number of dead or injured. Analyzing the actions of the criminal organization, we can conclude that the Russian authorities once again used the «services» of mercenaries to carry out the massacre against Ukrainian prisoners.
Recall that the “Wagnerites” have already distinguished themselves in such things in July 2022. Then, on the night of July 28-29, mercenaries from the «Wagner» group carried out a mass murder of prisoners in the urban-type village of Olenivka, Donetsk region, where the occupiers built a filtration camp on the territory of the former Volnova correctional colony No. 120. On that fateful night, on the personal instructions of Yevgeny Prigozhin, a terrorist act was carried out by blowing up a colony with Ukrainians. More than 50 Ukrainian defenders are known to have died.
Today, the scenario is repeated and the lives of Ukrainian prisoners of war are threatened by death at the hands of Russian executioners. Then the Russians also lied about the strike by HIMARS missiles, but the damages in Olenivka were not characteristic of the principle of operation of this multiple launch rocket system.
The entire civilized world should pay attention to the criminal Russian authorities using mercenaries from the Wagner group, which in essence are an ordinary terrorist organization and operate using methods such as ISIS, al-Qaeda and Hamas, killing prisoners of war and civilians. It should be noted that the Russian authorities sponsor these terrorists with everything necessary, from military uniforms to tanks, which is why the Russian Federation should be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism.
