After the onset of winter cold, Russia adjusted its missile strike tactics. The lack of missiles is already evident, so Russia is concentrating its main efforts on destroying Kyiv’s energy infrastructure and making life unbearable for 3 million people. During the launch of Iranian UAVs, the city’s energy infrastructure suffered critical destruction, and the scale of the power outage became the most noticeable during the entire war. Putin is committing genocide against Ukrainians, using the cold as a weapon of mass destruction. The urgent supply of air defense equipment for Ukraine is the key to the survival of millions of people.
During a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of December 19, Russia used an Iranian-made UAV. A total of 35 drones were launched, 23 of them at Kyiv. This confirms the thesis that Putin is carrying out missile terror in the capital of Ukraine out of revenge, as well as for a purely political purpose: the destruction of the capital has an emphasized symbolic meaning, therefore, Putin is demonstrating to Ukraine and the West his dictation and a hint of negotiations. Drones are launched at night to make them more difficult to detect, as well as to determine the location of Ukrainian air defense. After November 23, Russia launched a total of more than 150 missiles and UAVs at Kyiv alone. No European capital has suffered such blows since the end of the Second World War. The Armed Forces of Ukraine effectively use the available air defense means, but they are not enough: Russia rely on mass launches, and air defense ammunition is not capable of neutralizing all missiles or drones. Russia attacks exclusively civilian targets. Each missile attack on the capital of Ukraine causes billions of dollars in damage. The destruction of the energy infrastructure is enormous: after each subsequent strike, the power outage intervals become longer and longer. Russia’s helplessness at the front led to Putin’s hatred of all Ukrainians, which turns into targeted genocide.
The West must do everything necessary to create a «security dome» over key cities in Ukraine to prevent the destruction of infrastructure by Russian missiles. Immediate deliveries of air defense and missile defense systems for Ukraine are the main priority and axiom: they can save millions of lives and protect Europe from the «tsunami of refugees».
Ukraine actually spent 2 months of the cold season resisting genocidal Russian missile strikes. There are still 3 long months of cold ahead. Russia is intensively producing missiles, in addition, it has an agreement with Iran to supply additional batches of missiles and UAVs. In fact, for every significant drop in air temperature, Russia launched a follow-up strike with missiles or UAVs. In the event of extreme cold, the lives of millions of Ukrainians will be at risk, and it will be a real genocide caused by Putin.
Ukraine critically needs help from the West, and its main component is weapons. The West has been supporting Ukraine for 10 long months, and has no right to withdraw from assistance at this critical moment. Putin’s triumph will mean the defeat of the civilized world. The Russian army must be stopped in Ukraine as soon as possible with the help of Western weapons.
