Iran Was Supported by Russia to Attack Israel

Russian propagandists openly call for an attack on Israel, actively supporting Iran as its main military ally. Russia fully supports Iran in its confrontation with Israel, the propagandist, the author of daily program on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, Sergei Mardan, said live on the Solovyov Live. He claimed that Tehran was one of the few who supported Moscow during the occupation of Ukraine by the Russian army. According to him, Moscow is now obliged to support Iran in the conflict with Israel, since the two countries are allies. Therefore, he called for shooting down Israeli and American planes.

Also, Russian officials “justify” a large-scale Iranian attack on Israel on the night of April 13-14. They mistakenly equate it with the Israeli strike earlier this month against members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Damascus.

The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Security Council, Vasily Nebenzia, said that Iran’s massive combined attack on Israel “is a legitimate response to the Israeli army’s attack” on Tehran’s diplomatic mission in Syria.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in response to Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simona Halperin’s call to condemn the Iranian attack, said that she “does not remember Israel’s condemnation of Kyiv’s strikes on Russian territory.” Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry called on Israel and Iran to “abstain,” without condemning the shelling of Tehran.

For his part, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia opposed escalation and “supports political and diplomatic resolution of conflicts” in the Middle East.

Most likely, Russia will continue to conduct information operations to justify Iran’s strikes on Israel on the night of April 14 to the international community.
