Authorities in Limassol are investigating a case of attempted murder, after a young Syrian man was stabbed several times last night, suffering serious injuries to his face and torso, informs in-cyprus.
The assailant, unknown to them, ambushed the 21 year old Syrian and a 22 year old friend as they were walking at the Neapolis area just after ten in the evening.
They tried to escape his attack but the man managed to stab one of them and fled on foot.
Police have launched a manhunt for his arrest, based on the victims description.
The injured Syrian is being treated at the Limassol General.
