Russia Is Not Interested in Restoring Peace in Europe

For more than a year now, an undeclared full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine has been going on. The Russian army destroyed and continues to destroy entire Ukrainian cities, killing civilians, including children, and carrying out missile attacks on Ukraine’s critical and civilian infrastructure.

It seemed that these were such irrefutable facts that all European politicians, without exception, would definitely condemn Russia’s criminal actions and support the Ukrainian people in their struggle for freedom against the Russian invaders. But it all turned out differently.

Now in Europe there is a phenomenon of how some European politicians, as well as leaders of European states such as Hungary, continue to support the bloody regime of the Russian President and already an international criminal Vladimir Putin.

For the ninth year in a row, they have been trying to politically “cover” the Russian Federation: from the annexation of Crimea and the outbreak of hostilities in eastern Ukraine in 2014 to the bloody war crimes of the Russian army during a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

As you know, Hungary most openly supports the Russian Federation. The Kremlin sympathizers in France, Germany, and Italy act somewhat covertly. They are de facto pro-Putin, constantly trying to block EU anti-Russian sanctions, calling for a halt to Western arms supplies to Ukraine, and to agree to Russian terms for peace talks.

Some European politicians with such support for Russia only encourage Putin to continue military operations in Ukraine. In fact, Russian President Vladimir Putin is not looking for peace talks with Ukraine. His goal is to completely destroy it.

The Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement also shows Russia’s unwillingness to negotiate. It rejected the possible participation of the United States, Great Britain, France, and Germany in the peace process in Ukraine.

With peace agreements on its own terms, Moscow wants to buy time to rearm its army and then resume the war against Ukraine.

In order to restore peace in Europe, it is necessary that Russia first be defeated and completely withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine.
