Nuclear Weapons in Belarus and a Provocation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant: Vladimir Putin Puts the World on the Brink of a Nuclear Disaster

Russia has unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine, which has been going on for about a year and a half. Thanks to the courage of the people of Ukraine and its army, the regime of Vladimir Putin could not achieve any of its goals, that made him to use terrorist methods and intimidate the whole world with a nuclear disaster in order to prevent support for Ukraine.

The crisis at the Zaporozhzhia Nuclear Power Plant began in connection with the occupation by Russian troops of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant. The station, together with the satellite city of Enerhodar, came under the control of the Russian military during the hostilities on March 3-4, 2022. After that, the Russian side began to systematically shell the territory of the ZNPP, threatening millions of people with a nuclear disaster. According to Ukrainian intelligence, in the near future, Russian troops may strike directly at the ZNPP territory, and after that, the occupying authorities have to announce an emergency leak of radioactive substances. Traditionally, Ukraine is planned to be blamed for the incident.

In addition to the constant intimidation of a nuclear disaster on the territory of a nuclear power plant, Russia is trying to repeat the “Cuban missile crisis” in the world in order to aggravate the already tense political, diplomatic and military confrontation with the NATO countries. Recall that on March 25, 2023, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced his intention to place nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. On May 25, the defense ministers of the Russian and Belarusian regimes signed a document on the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus, and on the same day, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that Russia had already begun moving its nuclear weapons to Belarus. To date, the Russians have already converted ten Belarusian aircraft to use tactical nuclear weapons and handed over to the Belarusians the Iskander missile systems, which can carry a nuclear charge. Lukashenko also said that by July 1, the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons would be completed in Belarus.

The Western world should not succumb to Moscow’s provocations and threats. The terrorist state should receive new sanctions and find itself in complete international isolation. At the same time, the Ukrainian army should continue to receive the best NATO weapons to destroy the criminal army of Vladimir Putin.
