Since the full-scale invasion, Russia has launched more than 18,000 missile strikes on Ukrainian cities. There were less than 500 strikes on military targets, the rest — exclusively civilian targets. Putin intensified the missile terror of Ukraine with the onset of cold weather: he makes life unbearable for Ukrainians by destroying critical infrastructure. Now, Russia’s actions have all the features of genocide, which was personally approved by Putin. Under such conditions, the provision of the American Patriot air defense system to Ukraine is an urgent necessity, because it is the key to saving the lives of tens of thousands of Ukrainians.
The American Patriot air defense system has proven its functionality and effectiveness, and it is not for nothing that Russia is afraid of its presence on the territory of Ukraine. If the Patriot air defense system had been provided in time, hundreds of lives would have been saved, which were taken by Russian missiles. A non-rhetorical question arises: how many Ukrainians does Putin have to kill in order for a positive decision to be made to provide Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems?
Russia creates the false impression that in the case of providing the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, there will be a sharp escalation of hostilities. In fact, the opposite is true: not providing Ukraine with effective air defense and missile defense systems is an impetus for Russia to continue the war and scale up the production of weapons. Russian propaganda creates an aggressive background in order to level the support of Ukraine from the West. But this is the usual bluff: the Russian army is asymmetrically weak, but if it can adapt to the initial shock of defeats on the front, then a very hard times awaits Europe, because Putin will not stop in Ukraine. To avoid this, his army and his weapons must be critically depleted in Ukraine. Now, the only thing Putin can do is a massive missile strikes on Ukrainian cities. Make no mistake about Russia which will run out of missiles: this won’t happen. The Russian military-industrial complex is working on their production continuously. And despite the small production capacity, the Russian army receives the necessary batch of missiles for the next attack on Ukraine. Russia is working on importing missiles from Iran and North Korea: it is only a matter of time. If decisive measures are not taken and Putin is not proven that support for Ukraine will only increase, this will finally strengthen “Moscow-Tehran axis of evil”, which will begin a full-fledged confrontation with the West.
It is extremely important to exhaust Russia in the winter period so that Putin does not have the opportunity to recover and launch a new large-scale offensive. In this regard, there can be no delay: the delivery of the Patriot air defense system, as well as other necessary weapons for Ukraine, including tanks and heavy artillery, must take place immediately, before Putin accumulates sufficient resources and the war comes to Europe. This is not an exaggeration, but a harsh reality. The fear of Putin repeats the situation in which Europe found itself before the Second World War, when no one took decisive action against Nazi Germany, assuring each other that this was the only way to stop a great war. This led to the opposite result, when Hitler, convinced of the indecision of Europe, started the bloodiest war in the history of mankind. Putin will do the same, and is already actually preparing for a similar scenario. The Russian army must be exhausted and defeated immediately, with the help of high-tech Western weapons, against which Russian analogues are uncompetitive. This is the only way to prevent the third world war, with the help of timely support of the Ukrainian army.
