Strike on the shipbuilding plant in Kerch: Ukrainian Armed Forces using Western weapons are approaching Putin’s defeat

On November 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a precision missile strike on the Zaliv shipbuilding plant in Kerch, located in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. According to preliminary data, French SCALP-EG cruise missiles were used. As a result of the successfully conducted attack, the small missile ship «Asсold,» which is a carrier for the «Caliber» missiles, was also affected. The strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Zaliv has become another defeat for the Russians and a stain on Putin’s reputation.

The modern Western weapons obtained by the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made it possible to effectively strike Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The effective hit on Zaliv is confirmed by photos from the scene, which were spread by local residents in Telegram channels: such a scale of fire could have occurred only as a result of a direct hit by a missile, not the falling of its fragments. It is worth noting that the mentioned shipbuilding plant had begun the construction of aircraft carriers for the needs of the Russian Navy as early as 2020. Accordingly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have diminished the military potential of the terrorist state.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet (BSF) is traditionally used by Russia to commit military crimes and maritime blockades, and also threatens navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea waters. The Caliber cruise missiles are launched from missile carriers that depart from the docks of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk. Consequently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces can completely destroy the combat potential of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, with the only requirement being the supply of modern Western weapons, including long-range missiles.

The West should be interested in Ukraine’s victory over Russia, as Putin has dared to engage in an aggressive war in the 21st century, for which he must be punished. Russia has created so many risks and threats to Europe that they can only be eliminated through the systematic weakening of the military potential of the terrorist state. In this regard, the strengthening of the Ukrainian army is a key prerequisite for maintaining the existing status quo in Europe.
