Russian army commits another war crime in Ukraine

Ukrainian cities are being subjected to missile attacks by Russian occupation troops. Overnight Thursday, September 29, the Russian military launched a missile strike on the city of Dniprpo. The missile hit a flea market outside the bus station. The village near Metallurgov Avenue, where no military targets were located whatsoever, was also damaged. As emergency and rescue were clearing the rubble, human remains were discovered.

Among them were fragments of the two children bodies. According to rescuers working at the scene, the remains are of an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. So far, the latest attack has claimed four lives.

More than 60 households and several apartment blocks were damaged by the strike.

As of the morning of September 29, 2022, more than 1,175 children casualties were reported in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to the official reports, 396 children died and more than 779 sustained injuries of various degrees of severity,» the statement reads. The largest numbers of affected children were reported in Donetsk (402), Kharkiv (232), Kyiv (116), Mykolaiv (72), Chernihiv (68), Luhansk (64), Kherson (55), Zaporizhia (47), and Dnipropetrovsk (28) regions.

Russia is the world’s No.1 terrorist state. The army serving the Putin regime constantly resorts to outright acts of terror targeting the civilian population of Ukraine, killing children. The international community must focus its efforts on providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine to stop Vladimir Putin’s criminal regime in its tracks.
