The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their defense operations in the east and south of Ukraine, as well as conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine информирует RBC.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there were 44 combat engagements. In total, the enemy conducted 6 missile strikes and 56 aerial attacks, as well as 40 shelling incidents using multiple launch rocket systems, targeting both our military positions and civilian objects within our state.
Furthermore, during the night, the occupiers launched kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type against Ukraine. Currently, information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.
The frontline situation
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and conducts active subversive activities aimed at preventing the deployment of our forces to threatened directions. Additionally, they are increasing the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.
Within the responsibility zone of the «Khortytsia» Operational Command, in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy has not engaged in offensive (assault) actions. In the Bakhmut direction, the adversary unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost ground in the area of Klishchiivka in the Luhansk region.
In the operational zone of the «Tavria» Operational Command in the Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out more than 20 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Tonenke, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region. They also unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost ground southwest of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the invaders attempted to restore lost positions in the areas of Robotyne and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region but were not successful.
Offensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, conducting offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting casualties on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.
In the operational zone of the «Odesa» Operational Command in the Kherson direction, our troops continue counter-battery warfare, destroy supply depots, and successfully strike at the enemy’s rear.
Enemy losses
During the past 24 hours, the aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 11 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, as well as 2 strikes on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile complexes.
Units of the missile forces struck 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile complexes, 13 artillery units, an ammunition depot, and an enemy electronic warfare station.
The total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 277,660 soldiers.
