On June 13, Russia carried out another missile attack on Ukraine with 15 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles. Eleven such missiles were destroyed by air defense systems. One of the missiles hit a residential multi-storey building in Kryvyi Rih. As a result of this Russian military crime, at least 11 Ukrainian civilians were killed, 28 were injured, 10 of them are in severe condition. There are still people under the rubble. After the hit, nearby buildings caught fire, the property and parked cars of the residents are destroyed. The location of the target is determined in advance in the above-mentioned type of missiles: the Russians deliberately committed another terrorist attack, the only purpose of which is the killing of Ukrainian civilians.
After a series of military failures and the liberation by the Ukrainian army of a number of settlements on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the Russians intensified the terror of the civilian population of Ukraine. Missile attacks on rear and front-line Ukrainian cities occur almost every night. Russia does not stop launching missile attacks on Ukraine, the number of which in May became the maximum since the beginning of the full-scale war: in May, the Russians carried out 20 missile attacks, using 563 missiles and Iranian drones with a total cost of $1.7 billion. This confirms Putin’s intentions to continue the war at any cost because he considers the occupation of Ukraine as a kind of the end of his tenure. Russia is unable to occupy Ukrainian territories, so the Kremlin dictator gave the order to simply destroy Ukrainian cities and commit genocide of Ukrainians. Missile terror is organically combined with the blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP. This crime was also deliberately committed by Russia in order to prevent a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces at the cost of civilian lives in the occupied territories.
In addition, according to the conclusions of Western experts, in recent months Russia has significantly increased the import of Iranian UAVs as a cheap alternative to cruise missiles, the reserves of which are significantly depleted during the war. Even the fragments of drones shot down in the air cause human casualties and fire. Iran has become a direct participant in the genocidal war unleashed by Russia.
The mentioned above increases the need for supply of air defense equipment and shells for the needs of the Armed Forces. This weaponry is the main guarantee of saving the lives of thousands of Ukrainians. Putin will not stop: the Russian military-industrial complex may receive funding and produce missiles, even at the expense of freezing social programs in the Russian Federation and non-payment of salaries and pensions. Russia has already passed the “point of no return”, it can only be stopped by force. The cyclical nature of Russian territorial expansion poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to Europe. Ukraine’s membership in NATO is the only way to establish a security zone on the eastern borders of Europe and prevent a major war with Russia.
