On December 29, Russia launched another massive missile barrage, firing more than 120 missiles across Ukraine, targeting critical infrastructure. Putin’s goal is the genocide of Ukrainians, and he uses the cold as a weapon of mass destruction. In total, since October 10, Russia has fired more than 800 missiles at Ukrainian cities. The supply of air defense and missile defense equipment for Ukraine is the key to the survival of tens of thousands of Ukrainians during the winter period.
Russia is changing tactics: during the latest attack on December 29, they launched more than 120 missiles. This is actually twice as much as usual and an absolute record for the entire time of full-scale war. It is significant that the interval between launches has also increased: the last massive missile strike before December 29 took place on December 15. Russia increases the interval, and accordingly — the number of missiles it accumulates during this time in the hope of inflicting as much damage as possible on Ukraine. The production capacity of the Russian military-industrial complex is mediocre, but it works non-stop for one purpose: to wreak havoc on civilian infrastructure in the winter period. During the shelling on December 29, a number of industrial facilities were hit and several schools were damaged. Russia is starting a systemic terror targeting everything that supports the existence of Ukraine. And they don’t care about the cost.
Putin will not stop on Ukraine and he actually needs no negotiations. He wants to secure a tactical pause, during which he will prepare several hundreds of thousands of mobilized troops, accumulate hundreds of cruise missiles, and import ballistic missiles. And at a certain time, with all this resource at his hand, another full-scale invasion of Ukraine will begin. The West has no right to distance itself from Ukraine. It has to provide the nation with comprehensive support: Putin’s army must be constantly and systematically worn down as Western weapons have proven their absolute superiority over their Russian counterparts.
During a massive rocket strike on December 29, infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv were severely damaged. During each missile attack, Ukraine bears billions in losses. Russia wants to cause comprehensive damage: economic, demographic, etc. Russian missile strikes will continue: Russia will never run out of missiles and the interval between launches can only increase. The Kremlin has its own production facilities and connections, allowing for shady imports of the necessary components. Under such conditions, Ukraine is fighting for its very existence, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are doomed to become the «Eastern European IDF.»
Russia seeks not only to inflict damage on infrastructure, but also to cause casualties among the civilian population. Their tactic is terror, and they cultivate it in every possible way. Thus, during the missile attack on December 29, casualties were reported in Kyiv. Any delay in the provision of more air defenses for Ukraine leads to new deaths among Ukrainians and gives another impetus to Putin, who feels his impunity. A rhetorical question arises: how many civilian lives will be lost in Ukraine for the West to finally make a decision to provide the necessary amounts air and missile defenses to protect the Ukrainian sky?
Putin will not stop on Ukraine as he has challenged the entire West. His tactics against the civilian population in Ukraine prove that the Russian army will kill wherever it advances. Ukraine is exhausting the Russian army at the cost of the lives of its soldiers, and Europe should be grateful that it is able to live in peace thanks to Ukraine.
