On the night of January 2, Russia repeated a massive missile attack on the civilian population of Ukraine, which was preceded by a series of attacks on Ukrainian cities for several days in a row.
During a massive missile attack in Kyiv, a residential building caught fire: 43 people were injured, one woman died. Also, buildings in Podilskyi, Svyatoshinskyi, Pecherskyi, Obolonskyi, and Desnyanskyi districts were damaged by the missile attack. As a result of the Russian massive attack in Kharkiv, one person was killed and 44 were injured, 3 fires occurred in the city, a number of civilian objects were destroyed, warehouses and cars were on fire.
Attempts to gain the Russian population’s favor before the elections with massive shelling of Ukraine do not work in Russia’s favor. During a massive missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of January 2, one of the Russian rockets fell in the village of Petropavlovka in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh region and exploded, said the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev. Propaganda media initially stated that this was shelling from the Ukrainian side, but later Russia admitted that it was “a Russian air force aircraft has made an emergency munition release.” Thus, Russia causes harm and destruction to its citizens.
Most likely, shelling of cities in Russia is often deliberate actions of Russian troops aimed at discrediting Ukraine.
Putin’s attempts to convince the West of his readiness for negotiations is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Negotiations and a truce, for which Russia is always talking about in the West, are impossible in the conditions of constant terror of the civilian population. Russia is seeking to destroy Ukraine and its civilian population. The same fate will befall other countries in Eastern Europe if it does not intensify military assistance for Kyiv now.
Strengthening Ukraine’s air defense is the basis for a peaceful European future. Russia is again trying to break through the defenses of the skies over Ukraine and cause as much catastrophic destruction as possible. The same fate awaits other countries threatened by Russia if the West does not increase assistance now.
