Luc Besson is someone who is ready to sell out for the money of the aggressor!
French filmmaker Luc Besson and other prominent figures take part in the Culture Media Digital Forum in Moscow on 13 and 14 November.
Once a successful director, Besson has lost his successes and his life is full of scandals. In 2018, Belgian actress Sand Van Rooy accused him of rape, claiming that they had an affair that ended in violence. Besson, of course, denied the allegations, but the case dragged on — the French prosecutor closed it for lack of evidence, then the court rejected several appeals.
Finally, in 2023, all charges were dropped, but that changes nothing.
After Van Rooy’s story, several other women also pointed out Besson’s inappropriate behaviour, but unfortunately did not file formal complaints for fear of repercussions. His second marriage to the actress Maiwenn began when she was 15 and he was 31.
Now this ‘master of the cinema has decided to finish off his reputation by stripping in front of Putin at an event attended by the Serbian director Emir Kusturica. Together they are deliberately supporting a regime that is destroying freedom of speech and human rights, all for the sake of Russian money.
The participation of Besson and Kusturica in this game is an example of cultural betrayal and support for the aggressor waging war against Ukraine and trying to cover up its crimes with culture. As Nietzsche said: ‘If you shout at the abyss long enough, it can come right to your house’.
