Ukrainian defense forces continue defensive operations in the east and conduct offensive operations in the south. Over the past day, there have been more than 30 combat engagements, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs RBC.
Enemy attacks
Early this morning, Russia launched another missile and aviation strike against Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.
The enemy conducted 5 missile strikes and 87 airstrikes, launching 44 artillery barrage attacks, targeting both our military positions and civilian objects within our state.
Additionally, occupiers attacked Ukraine with 33 kamikaze-type drones, Shahed-136/131, of which 26 were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense systems. Russian terrorist attacks resulted in destruction and damage to over 100 private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.
Enemy airstrikes targeted the following populated areas: Kostyantynivka in the Sumy region; Vesele, Ohirtseve, Synkivka, Kyslivka, and Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Novoiehorivka, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Spirne, Khromove, New York, Avdiivka, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Burhunka in the Kherson region; Pervomaiskyi Island and Zmiinyi Island.
Nearly 100 populated areas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions were exposed to enemy artillery fire.
Frontline situation
The operational situation on the Volyn and Polissia directions remains relatively stable.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy continues to hold troops to cover the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in border areas to prevent the redeployment of our troops to critical directions.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defense forces have achieved partial success in the Klishchiivka area of the Donetsk region, pushing the enemy out of occupied positions and consolidating on the achieved front lines. Fierce battles continue.
Furthermore, the occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiivka, and Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, Ukrainian defense forces maintain the initiative, restraining the enemy and conducting assault actions to regain our territory meter by meter.
Our defenders successfully hold the defense in areas such as Keramik, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Maryinka, and Rivnopillia in the Donetsk region, where the enemy made approximately 20 unsuccessful attempts to dislodge our units from their positions. All enemy attacks resulted in significant losses in personnel and equipment.
In the Melitopol direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue the offensive operation, inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces and consolidating on the achieved front lines.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue counter-battery combat, destroying enemy supply depots and successfully striking the enemy’s rear areas.
Mobilization in Russia
Due to catastrophic losses suffered by the occupiers, it is expected that soon, there will be a massive forced mobilization of the population in Russia and on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Estimates suggest that the numbers for this mobilization may range from 400,000 to 700,000 individuals. It should be noted that approximately 40,000 residents of the Chechen Republic are also planned to be called up, possibly to be used as «blocking units» behind Russian forces.
Furthermore, the population of Moscow and St. Petersburg will likely face minimal mobilization. Once again, ordinary citizens from various Russian regions will be pushed to the frontlines, where Chechen executioners will be driving them to their deaths. Thus, voluntary surrender to the forces of Ukrainian defense may be the only way for Russian military personnel to survive.
Enemy losses
Over the course of the day, Ukrainian defense aviation conducted 11 strikes on areas with concentrations of enemy personnel and military equipment.
Rocket troops hit 8 enemy artillery units.
