The Ukrainian military eliminated 680 Russian occupiers over the last 24 hours, with total losses since the war began now exceeding 240,000 troops, Ukraine’s General Staff reported in its morning update on July 21.
The estimated Russian losses breakdown is as follows:

Ukraine launched a counter-offensive campaign in the south and east at the beginning of June. The Ukrainian military is liberating occupied areas and gaining a foothold there.
The current modest Ukrainian successes are just an introduction to a broader and more extensive counteroffensive to come soon, according to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.
