Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the UK will be visiting Cyprus for the first time in history on 12-13th of February.
The visit follows an invitation from Chief Rabbi of Cyprus — Arie Zeev Raskin — and will include a tour of the Jewish Community of Cyprus’ institutions, meetings with local officials and religious leaders, and a Rabbinical conference of all local Rabbis.
The visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen the community which has expanded rapidly in the past few years.
The visit will be coordinated by the Chief Rabbinate of Cyprus.
