The BRICS leadership aspire to become a geopolitical rival to the G7 and continue discussions about necessity of resistance the West and oppose the unipolar world headed by the United States of America.
At the same time, BRICS generates not important news, but rather scandalous news headlines.
Ahead of the 15th BRICS summit (Johannesburg, September 22-24, 2023), political observers were wondering whether the President of Russia would fly to the South African Republic. The intrigue was related with the issued warrant of the UN International Criminal Court against the master of Moscow Kremlin, which had lauched a war against Ukraine and suspect in the war crimes. And once he arrives, how will the SAR act as a participant of the Rome Statute of the UN InternationalCriminal Court? 
Another awkwardness was caused by the accession to BRICS of UAE, Egypt and Iran, which are irreconcilable rivals. Next scandal was erupted by refusing of membership in BRICS of Algeria, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan.
Nevertheless, it became quickly clear that BRICS is becoming rather a geopolitical alliance, than an economic one.
Current potential scandal relates to the probable participation of A.Guterres, UN Secretary General to the 16th BRICS summit in Russia (Kazan, October 22-24, 2024). It is evident that for the Russian neo-empire that is being in an international isolation over its invasion to Ukraine, the visit of a top politician would be a significant victory.
There can be no doubt that the Kremlin’s propagandists will diligently make sure that the joint photos of the suspected V.Putin and A.Guterres reach all the news agencies.
At the same time, according to some Russian media, the high-ranking guest was dissatisfied by the initially offered conditions for stay in Russia. He and the UN Representation in Russia put forward stick demands to raise the class of the hotel accommodation, to ensure the availability of a meeting room and a office, to provide an armored car and an ambulance, as well as a minibus.
According to the intention of the anti-Western leaders at least of China, Iran and Russia, the head of the UN should «sanctify» the so-called China-Brazilian peace plan or some other initiatives revealed by the countries of the Global South that allegedly aim to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
However, can be sure, the main purpose of these show-off initiatives is to play in favor of Russia.
In this context, the attention attract certain details of the extremely close cooperation between the Secretary General of the UN and Russian counterparts, who are waging wars and provoke humanitarian crises in all over the World.
For example, after Russia unilaterally withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Initiative in the summer of 2023, A.Guterres, for incomprehensible reasons, showed a willingness to make any possible concession to Moscow to persuade the Russian side to return to the implementation of the Grain Deal.
However, as it turned out quickly and this situation continues for today, the specified supplies could be guaranteed without any participation of Russia, namely, by joint protection of maritime trade corridors in the Black Sea with Ukraine.
Instead, A.Guterres, for unknown reasons, prefers to lobby for the interests of the Russian Federation.
The UN Secretary-General strongly promoted suggestion that Western companies to insure Russian ships that would export agricultural products, including stolen in huge quantities on the occupied Ukrainian territories. Moreover, he called for Administrations of European ports to issue permits for Russian ships with food and fertilizers to enter the ports under the fast way procedure.
A.Guterres also tried to put pressure on Kyiv to provide the permission for Russian ammonia transit through the Tolyatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline. After the substance had to export via Ukrainian Black Sea ports to consumers.
The head of the UN do not hesitate to call on the Western leaders to relax international sanctions against Russia over the disregard of International Law and demolition of the European and Global security architects.
We can guess — for what exact reason the former leftist Portuguese politician so carefully follow of the interests of the suspected Moscow Kremlin master and his sidekicks. They clearly declared that sense of their life was the restoration of the USSR, the most of bloody “communist heaven”.
If A.Guterres poses at the summit in Kazan, he will create the basis for interpretations such as «there is no isolation of Russia», «the UN supports the plan for a peaceful settlement in accordance of the China-Brazil intiative» etc.
But can be sure that A.Guterres will not mention the peace initiatives put forward by Ukraine.
