Violence in Ukraine due to the war: a special «Book of tortures» is planned to be launch, Zelenskyy said

Next week a special «Book of Tortures» is planned to be launch- an information system that collects confirmed data on war crimes and criminals from the Russia army. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in video address.

«Next week a special «Book of tortures» is planned to be launch- an information system that collects confirmed data on war crimes and criminals from the Russia army. I have repeatedly stressed that they will all be held accountable. And we are approaching this step by step,» Zelenskyy said.

The head of the State stressed that the creation of such system had been going on for some time already. These were specific facts about specific people who are guilty for specific violent crimes against Ukrainians.

«And such a «Book of Tortures» is one of the foundations of the responsibility of not only the direct perpetrators of war crimes — soldiers of the occupying army, but also their commanders. Those who gave orders. Those who made possible everything they did in Ukraine. In Bucha, in Mariupol, in all our cities, in all our communities they have reached. Everyone will be brought to justice,» Zelenskyy said.

On June 6, the UK government announced the second package of support for the investigation of Russian war crimes in Ukraine by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Earlier, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denis Maluska said that the Law on Cooperation with the ICC would allow Ukrainian law enforcement officials to provide evidence of war crimes committed in Ukraine.
