As of 7 a.m. on February 25, the situation in the Donetsk operational district remains under control. Russian troops continue to fire on Joint Forces positions, cities and civilian infrastructure. In the area of Shchastya, Stanytsia Luhanska, Lobachevo and Belovodsk, enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups repeatedly tried to engage our troops from the rear at night, but were detected and destroyed in time. Ukrainian defenders fired artillery at firing positions and clusters of Russian equipment. Information about the losses of the enemy is being clarified. The combined forces are confidently holding their own positions and giving a decent rebuff to the invaders.
On the Chernihiv route and directly on the approach to Chernihiv, the Ukrainian military managed to hold the defense and repel the breakthrough of Russian troops.
Enemy vehicles were forced to retreat from Chernihiv in the direction of Sedniv and from Hrodna to Semenivka.
Enemy trophies in the form of equipment and documents with personal data of Russians were seized.
Near Starobilsk, Ukrainian artillerymen inflicted losses against the occupiers. In the area of Starobilsk, Ukrainian artillery smashed a column of Russian equipment preparing to cross the Aidar River. The enemy broke through the Ukrainian border and tried to enter from the rear, strike and break the line of defense of Ukrainian troops. As a result, the occupiers suffered losses and retreated.
