Russian Tyranny Has Lost Control over Ukraine: V. Zelensky’s Visit to the USA Will Affect the Further Course of the War

Zelensky’s visit to the USA became a landmark event capable of changing the course of the war. The American government approved an unprecedented aid package for Ukraine, and also confirmed the unchanging support for Ukraine. The longer the war in Ukraine lasts, in which Russia is committing the most heinous crimes, the more continued assistance Ukraine receives. The Russian army is committing genocide against Ukrainians on national grounds, and if it is not stopped, it will start committing a similar crime wherever it wants. The USA is an example for all civilized countries that should unite against the common enemy of all mankind

On December 21, V. Zelensky began an official visit to the USA: his first foreign mission after the start of a full-scale war. The visit took place at the most difficult stage of the war for Ukraine: heavy fighting near Bakhmut in an effort to stop the Russian occupation attack together with heavy damage to the energy infrastructure by Russian cruise missiles.

Putin has finally lost touch with reality, and Russian propaganda calls for a 1945-style military occupation of Europe. The changes that have taken place in Russia are inevitable. In other words, Russia has turned into a huge terrorist state, which is not guided by common sense in its actions and directly declares that it will continue to fight. In 2023, the size of the Russian army will increase by 50 % and the conscription age will be raised to 30 years. There are such striking changes in the Russian army for the first time since 1945. This is a threat to all humanity. And that is why Ukraine should receive constant aid: weapons, political support. This is an investment in the peaceful future of the civilized world and at the same time, its salvation. The architecture of the future world order is being formed in Ukraine, and Washington has confirmed that it will be democratic.

Zelenskyi’s visit has two significant features: the president of Ukraine visited the United States immediately after Bakhmut, showing the Ukrainian flag in Congress, which until then was on the front line in the hands of Ukrainian troops. The second one — the key topic of the negotiations with President Biden was the provision of the American Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, which will actually close the sky over the most important objects in Ukraine.

In 1941, British Prime Minister V. Churchill spoke in the US Congress during the dark times of rampant German Nazism, which was destroying Europe. Great Britain defended its independence and became one of the architects of the post-war democratic world. Now the world is faced with a new and unprecedented threat: Putin’s Russia, which is filled with a thirst for conquest and destroys everything in its path. With the support of the West, Ukraine will defeat its enemy and make a significant contribution to strengthening democracy.

Zelensky’s speech in the US Congress symbolizes the dialogue of a free country in the world with other free countries. In this regard, it is important for Washington to feel Ukraine’s involvement in the development of freedom and democracy in the world — and that is why the United States continue to support Ukraine. Putin has created an unprecedented threat to all of humanity: Russia at this stage of its existence is an analogue of Hitler’s Germany. Putin created a perfect misanthropic ideology, and the consciousness of Russians is completely deformed by propaganda. Under such circumstances, stopping the Russian danger is possible only by force.

Patriot systems are the most modern and advanced weapons of all that the USA supplied to Ukraine. They are evidence that Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed the exam for defending statehood with flying colours. This is a manifestation of great trust: Ukraine became the nineteenth country that received the Patriot system and probably the first where the specified air defense system will have to demonstrate all its capabilities.

In addition to the Patriot systems, the US also provided Ukraine with simultaneous aid of 2 billion US dollars. This is an example for every civilized country, how you can make your contribution to the salvation of humanity with, in fact, minimal losses, compared to the possible consequences of a Russian military invasion. This is urgent support for Ukraine, which stops the enemy common to the whole world.
