Russia is planning to deport over 20,000 children from the occupied territories of Ukraine

Russian invaders continue to destroy cities in Ukraine and kill civilians, many of whom are forcibly deported to Russian territory. The “denazification” announced by Putin in fact has signs of genocide of the Ukrainian nation, one of the key factors of which is a kidnapping of Ukrainian children.

Violating international standards, ignoring human rights and the rules of war, Russia resorted to a proven method of terror, which was often used by the Soviet government — the forced resettlement of Ukrainian citizens from the temporarily occupied territories. By destroying the homes of millions of Ukrainians, Russia has strictly limited Ukrainians entering territories controlled by Ukraine. Instead, the aggressor country often leaves only one choice — to go to Russia, to the territory where the war came from.

Russian propaganda constantly speculates on the topic of children in their stories and news. It is emphasized, that Ukrainians allegedly kill children in the Donbas, leave them and abuse them in every possible way. Russia, in this case, seems to be playing the role of a protagonist, showing almost paternal care for the child. In fact, this scenario, like all the others, is designed exclusively for the internal target audience. The Russian invaders, in fact, steal Ukrainian children, separate them from their relatives and friends, take them to boarding schools, camps, and keep them in the dark. People were homeless due to the war and forced to live in Russia. Until February 24, none of them even thought of changing, for example, their beloved Mariupol to an abandoned Russian province. The removal of orphans is especially worrisome, because they are the most helpless, and it is very easy for Russia to use them for its own purposes. The aggressor country gives them its citizenship and places them in foster families who will educate them as Russians, not as Ukrainians. Russification is an example of the destruction of national identity, which is part of the genocide of the Russian Federation. The key element of this crime is the intention to completely or partially destroy the Ukrainians as a national group. In such circumstances, children are the least protected and most vulnerable category of people, therefore they need the most protection. And the stronger the support of the world community of Ukraine in confronting the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, the faster the Ukrainians will win this war, the less little Ukrainians will suffer from the arbitrariness of the Russian invaders.
