A few days before, Ukraine recorded the coordination and preparation of Russian aircraft and warships carriers of cruise missiles, as a confirmation of Russia’s planning another massive attack on the cities of Ukraine, and it happened. Air raid sirens began to sound in all cities of Ukraine at about 6 o’clock in the morning on December 29, and an hour later, the first rockets crossed Ukraine’s airspace.
After the night attack of kamikaze drones, Russia is attacking Ukraine from various directions with air and sea-based cruise missiles from strategic aircraft and ships. For now, it is known about 69 cruise missiles that were launched on the territory of Ukraine, 54 of them were shot down by air defense forces. This is a very, very high result, considering how large Ukraine is.
In the city of Kyiv, two private houses and a car were damaged by rocket fragments, it is also known that three people were injured, among them a 14-year-old girl. An industrial enterprise in Holosiivskyi district and a children’s playground in Pecherskyi district were also damaged. ️ A Russian rocket flew straight into a house in a village in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Fortunately, it did not explode. In Lviv, 90 % of the city is without electricity, trams and trolleybuses do not run in the city, and the metro has stopped in Kharkiv. Emergency power cuts were imposed in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions due to missile strikes.
In addition to cruise missiles, Russian troops launched Iranian kamikaze drones from the territory of Belarus. In addition to the rocket attacks, the enemy bombarded Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions with MLRS systems.
It is worth noting that 16 out of 16 cruise missiles were destroyed in Kyiv’s airspace. This result was achieved thanks to the professionalism of the Ukrainian military and Western partners, who timely provide Ukraine with air defense systems.
Russia once again demonstrated its unwillingness to end this bloody war. Vladimir Putin really wants to wipe Ukraine off the face of the Earth and destroy its people — this is the real genocide. The “military effect” of such missile strikes is zero, which means that the Russian army is purposefully trying to harm the civilian population. The Russian Federation headed by Vladimir Putin is a cancer of our planet. All civilized countries should unite against the aggressor and show him that the lawlessness and arbitrariness of the Kremlin will be stopped. It is necessary to continue to provide Ukraine with modern air defense and anti-missile systems to easily repel missile attacks, and further increase the supply of military equipment that will destroy the invaders on the battlefield until they leave Ukrainian territory.
