Putin’s Goal Is a Total Genocide of Ukrainians: The Terrible Crimes of the Russians in the Occupied Territories of Ukraine

There is evidence of new atrocities by the Russians in the liberated territories of the Kherson region: seven new torture chambers were found on December 21, the occupiers tortured Ukrainians there. Satellite images show that 10,000 new mass graves appeared in Mariupol during the Russian occupation. Putin’s goal is a total genocide of Ukrainians, and it is not an accident that the Russians began massive shelling of Kherson as soon as they were forced to leave there, demonstrating their true attitude towards the people of Kherson. The West has no right to ignore this crime unleashed by the Kremlin.

Since the beginning of the liberation of the city of Kherson and the right-bank part of the region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have found evidence of mass crimes committed by Russians against the civilian population. Eyewitnesses tell about the unprecedentedly cruel torture used by the Russians against the Ukrainians. In total, more than 700 citizens of Kherson are considered missing. Satellite images of Mariupol show that about 10,000 new graves have appeared in the city. Residents of the city are being deported massively to Russia. FSB representatives are trying to catch local people for loyalty to Ukraine, they are severely punished and imprisoned. The Russian occupation brought countless disasters to the Ukrainian people.

In the occupied territories, the Russians destroyed all Ukrainian symbols and burned Ukrainian textbooks, just as the German Nazis burned books by authors who did not support Hitler’s policies in the 1930s. According to unofficial data, the Russians could have killed 87,000 civilians in Mariupol. It is currently impossible to determine the exact number, as the Russian occupation administration has created a severe information blockade. If these figures are correct, then it means that the largest ethnic genocide in Europe after 1945 is taking place in Ukraine.

Putin’s goal is to destroy Ukrainians as a people. He wants to kill them in the war, expel them to Europe, deport them to Russia, but not allow the reconstruction of pre-war Ukraine. His actions are classic genocide, which uses various tools to destroy Ukrainians. The West has no right to stand aside from this tragedy and must do everything possible to stop this tragedy. Putin can only be stopped by force. Ukraine is only the first stage of his aggression. If he manages to increase the size of his army, which he has already planned, then the tragedy of Mariupol will happen wherever his military machine goes. In the last months of the Second World War, the invasion of the Soviet army in Europe led to the fact that the population in some countries (for example, in Estonia) decreased by a third. The Russians are genetically сruel, and they will kill wherever they go.

Ukraine critically needs the West’s help in these most difficult times for it, starting from 1991. Ukrainian cities must be protected from Russian missile strikes, and in this regard, the latest air defense equipment is the key to the survival of tens of thousands of Ukrainians. The Armed Forces of Ukraine need high-quality weapons — tanks and heavy artillery in order to expel the invaders from their territory. Ukraine can become an effective “shield of Europe”, and the West should help it.
